New for the 2009 season, Kodiak Adventures Lodge has purchased two ocean going kayaks. The kayaks can be used by our clients to view the beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife that makes Kodiak Island so unique. They offer a quieter mode of travel around the bay to enhance the experience of staying at a remote Alaskan wilderness lodge.
We are really excited to be able to have the kayaks available to our clients. The kayaks have a small seat in them so parents will be able to take a young child in the kayak with them as they paddle around the bay.

Alaska Salmon Fishing
Kodiak Adventures Lodge will be reopening for the 2009 season soon. May will be spring and a new fishing season. Our first clients of the season will be bear hunters. By late May we will be in full swing into the King Salmon fishing season. We still have openings throughout the season. We anticipate having a good year and welcome you to book a trip with Kodiak Adventures Lodge. We offer salmon fishing for king salmon, pink salmon, silver salmon. We also have excellent halibut fishing as well as many other bottom fish, including ling cod and yellow eye rockfish. Something new at the lodge this year is the introduction of wifi. Clients may bring their own laptop to access the internet, or they may use the complimentary laptop in the lodge. We have many new things happening at the lodge and will continue to update you, so keep checking to see what's new at Kodiak Adventures Lodge.

Sea Duck Hunting in Alaska
There were a lot of sea ducks and puddle ducks in and around Kiliuda Bay this fall. Now that the season has wound down for the year, we are already looking forward to next year's deer and duck hunting season. There were several hundred bluebills in a flock that fed and rafted in front of the lodge. We left them alone as they were always a sight to see and it is nice to have wildlife close to the lodge so that guests may view the abundant animals in their natural environment. Zues, the black lab, unfortunately didn't feel the same way. He would sit on shore and whine and wade out a little and wonder why no one was hunting. It was hard to keep him out of the water. As he lays on his bed at the end of this season, I'm sure he is dreaming of next year's season too.

Blacktail deer hunting
Blacktail deer hunting is in full swing here at Kodiak Adventures Lodge. The mountains are full of snow and pushing the deer down low. We are already looking forward to next year's fishing season. Our first sport show will be Denver, CO, January 22 - 25. Come and see our booth and book a trip!

Our new addition to the lodge is a 28' Landing Craft. It is a perfect fit for the lodge and especially for our drop off deer hunts. It is much easier to get people to shore so they can do everything from beach combing to bear viewing or hunting in the fall. Book a trip of a lifetime and check it out!
