Early September was another good week for fishing with lots of Black rockfish and Halibut taken. Even a few king Salmon were caught trolling in the bay.
While stream fishing is still good for Pinks and Chums which have been here since the end of July , we are starting to see some Cohos come into the mouth and getting ready to spawn.
This is a good time to get out the fly rod and make a few casts for Cohos and Dollies.
Whale watching and bear veiwing are at its peak. The Humpbacks are slowly getting ready to leave for their wintering grounds in Califoria and Hawaii and are feeding and on the move. The bears are filling the bellies and also getting ready for the long winter.
